Their matcha soft serve has gone through a series of revamps with a change in formula, machine and matcha powder, but there’s no doubting the quality of the soft serve is still there. Chanoma offers a whole range of green tea goodies ranging from green tea soft serves, floats, frappes, cappuccinos, and lattes, but my favourite still has to be the green tea soft serve cone."

While full meals are available, peeling your eyes away from the tart, cruffin, slice, and pastry lined counters of the bakery is a tall order. Try a lamington brewnut, strawberry and marshmallow, mango and raspberry or the spiced orange poppyseed flavour are heavenly creations that have a tendency of running out quickly."

"On a sleepy side street off King Street, Newtown’s main restaurant and bar drag, Brewtown Coffee Roasters occupies a late-19th-century brick warehouse, with a spacious industrial-chic café on the ground floor and a roastery and bakery upstairs. Speciality coffee is the name of the game, sourced directly, roasted on-site, and served black or with milk, decaf, soy, or strong. There are also iced coffee, cold brew, batch brew, and steampunk options."

The menu features Southern classics that aren't too heavy, such as fried okra in corn maize batter with spicy chipotle and tomato sauce and the delicious spicy Creole gumbo, as well as dishes with a more English or Australian heritage. The fun atmosphere and seriously good food means that, years in, this place is still full most nights of the week."
