Adelaide's Long Lunch Vendors
"Exchange Specialty Coffee 12-18 Vardon Avenue, Adelaide SA 5000. Exchange was founded in June 2013 (happy recent sixth birthday, team), and on most days you can find owner and founder Tom Roden at work behind the Synesso (as pictured). The cafΓ© made a name for itself by taking coffee and service very, very seriously, and, of course, being the first cafΓ© in Adelaide to make free sparkling water for the table standard."
"π A loyal following continually fills the tables inside and out of Exchange Specialty Coffee. And, itβs easy to see why when their coffee, provided by Market Lane Coffee and locals Mondayβs Coffee Co, is that good. Veg and vegan options round out the tight yet impressive menu."
"With a roastery operating on the mezzanine and plants hanging from the ceiling, Crack Kitchen is a lovely space to spend some time sipping on your favourite brew. π Weekdays 7.30am β 3pm, Weekends 8am β 3pm. π 13 Franklin Street"
"Crack Kitchen is a cafe, roastery & specialty coffee brewer all-in-one who are at the very top of their game; youβll always leave totally satisfied. Throw in some of the best brunch in town and youβre onto a real winner here."
"Prepare to queue at this small Hawthorn brunch spot β there are only so many eclectic mismatched tables and chairs to accommodate all the hungry diners desperate to taste the Pantryβs appetising brekky options. The menu isnβt huge but the portions certainly are, plus there are plenty of dedicated dishes for kids and vegans β choose from 10 terrific brunches free of animal products as well as four vegan milkshakes and smoothies."
"Tucked away on Egmont Terrace, this rustic, old fashioned cafe oozes flare and quirkiness and is crammed with every classic (granola,Β French toast and full brekky) alongside more inventive options β such as the falafelΒ bowl topped with red pepper and walnut hummus and a mild harissa dressing. The specialty peach lime or mint iced tea is a must β that will have your morning off to a refreshing start!. 2 Egmont Terrace, Hawthorne"
"π Options, options, options and servings that are on the generous side are just some of the reasons that have Adelaideans returning for more. From sandwiches and pies to sweet treats, and obviously coffee too, youβll actually have to return a few times to try a bit of everything. π Weekdays 6.30am β 3pm, Saturdays and nights βon holdβ"
"Global flavours are the order of the day at this homely cafΓ© and bakery. Think Thai beef pies, Persian love cakes and macarons in rotating flavours (chocolate freckle and strawberry lime have both graced the cabinet). And, they take their coffee seriously here, too."
"Authentically French Algerian, lovingly prepared with amazing South Australia produce, Le Souk is a must-try at the local Adelaide Central Market. Expect to be spoiled with slow-cooked meats, rich and juicy with flavour and nutrition, while enjoying a hot cup of freshly brewed mint tea. View this post on Instagram"
"Williams Boots and clothes are sold around the world, but this world-wide brand started in a tiny suburb in Adelaide. The founder of the company started from a humble beginning of digging wells, miners to boot makers. There are several artifacts that have been donated by longtime customers of R.M."
"As both Adelaide and indeed Australiaβs history has been so defined by the various waves of immigrants that arrived in the country, the Migration Museum is the perfect place to head to if you want to understand more about their past. Opened in 1986, its extensive collection takes you on a fascinating journey through the ages, with artifacts, photos, and stories explaining how the state was settled. Proudly showcasing Adelaideβs multiculturalism and promoting respect and tolerance for different cultures, peoples, and languages, the museum runs lots of educational programs and is just as popular with locals as it is with tourists."
"Adelaideβs Migration Museum was the first museum of its kind to be established in Australia. Built in 1986, the museum is a place to explore the many..."
"So, if youβre looking for an Australian or South Australian winery wedding venue, Adelaide is just perfect for you, with its gorgeous weather, rolling hills (including the Basket and Forest Ranges), and amazing views. Plus, its proximity to the St. Vincent Gulf means you can easily access the beach for waterfront ceremonies or wedding photography. Promise us you will check out our favourite winery wedding venues, listed above, because youβll most certainly regret missing out on them!"
"The Adelaide University campus itself has some wonderful spots hidden around the place as itβs such an old campus. One such spot has romenesque columns lining a walkway towards a door. This one spot β quite close to the Torrens footbridge β has become a huge hot spot for wedding photography often having to queue up behind other wedding couples wanting to have photos done there on a Saturday."
"The University of Adelaide is situated in some incredibly beautiful and historic buildings. Bonython Hall and The Museum of Classical Archaeology (both pictured below) are two examples, both located adjacent to each other and next to The Art Gallery."
