Enjoy Gravity Enduro, Slopestyle, Whip Off, and Black Snake mountain bike racing. There is an Eat Street Market with live music on Saturday and a Mountain Bike Film Fest on Saturday evening. On Sunday, the King & Queen of Kooralbyn is crowned.

Ritchies Boonah Arts Festival is an eight-day festival that includes many activities for the entire family. Have fun at the Sip and Paint or find your new wardrobe at the Fashion and Festival Awards. There is the Great Comedy Debate as well as art displays throughout the festival. Awards are presented for art, writing, and fashion. The festival is held at 4 High Street.

Start your trip with coffee at Arthur Clive’s Bakery before heading to Maynard’s to wander around and check out the fun items they have. Visit the Boonah War Memorial and Park and then stop to visit some of the fun boutiques in town. Grab lunch at Sandie Lee’s Kitchen before heading to Scenic Rim Adventure Park for the rest of the afternoon. Finish the day with dinner at Boonah Pizza.

The next day, start with breakfast at Flavour’s Café before taking a walking tour with an experienced guide. Grab lunch at the Australian Hotel before heading off to some of the local breweries and wineries for tastings. End the stay with dinner and drinks at Simon’s Tavern.

Boonah Pizza is locally owned and operated by Bob & Kathy Zurvas who are proud to provide jobs to local residents and support the community. Their pizza is created from the freshest ingredients and you can add a wide range of toppings. Favorites include the Australian with cheese, bacon, onion and egg as well as the Meat Lovers with barbecue sauce, crumbled beef, ham, bacon and pepperoni and the Chicken Delight with spinach, chicken, onions, mushrooms and feta. They have just added the Chicken Caesar with spinach, chicken, diced bacon, onion, egg and sliced tomato topped with Caesar sauce and parmesan. They are located at Shop 3, 2A Church Street.

Rockalicious Ice Creamery is the 1950s themed ice cream shop serving homemade ice cream, Columbian coffee, freshly baked cakes as lunch and dinner items. The dinner menu includes unique items like loaded sausage rolls. A roasted veggie bowl and savory waffles with toppings like mince, creamy mushroom, bacon and more. Definitely save room for dessert to try their topped dessert waffles, parfait, banana split and other delicious sweets. Find them at 29 High Street.

Scenic Rim Adventure Park is a great place to spend time as a family. With over 680 acres of the natural landscape, 17 miles (28 km) of tracks designed for mountain bikes and bushwalkers as well as areas for all-terrain vehicles, you can find all types of things to do as a family. Simon’s Tavern occupies what used to be an ornate hotel that opened in 1902. The hotel, constructed by Carl Gustav Simon, opened the hotel and tavern which legend holds he funded using winnings from the German lottery. Unfortunately, Simon overextended himself and went bankrupt before the hotel’s opening. A friend and local businessman, Charlie Behrendorff lent him money to complete the final phase of the hotel, but Simon passed away in 1906. The original hotel burned in the 1970s and was replaced with the current building where Simon’s Tavern sits. The tavern offers burgers, steaks, lamb, and seafood on their dinner menu as well as a full bar that specializes in wines. There is also a bottleshop at their 88 High Street location.

The Dugie, located in the Dugandan Hotel, is a favorite spot for locals. They offer freshly prepared food as well as a full bar. They offer over 30 different wines and 13 craft beers on tap. Boonah War Memorial and Park is located on Park Street and was unveiled by royalty. Surrounded by a low brick wall, the statue was unveiled in 1920 by the Prince of Wales who later became King Edward VIII. It honors the 374 Boonah area men who enlisted in WWII and the 69 lost to the war. Three names on the statue are brothers from Coochin Coochin Station where the Prince of Wales stayed during the unveiling event. The statue is flanked by two war trophies.

Mount French has two trails that make it easy to see what the area has to offer. The North cliff track takes about 15 minutes and leads to beautiful panoramic views. It is wheelchair accessible. The Mee-bor-rum Circuit takes about 25 minutes and is a Class 3 trail. On this trail, you can see views of Tamborine, Lamington, and Mount Barney. There are no handrails, so this trail is a bit more dangerous.
