"After a big day out on the reef snorkelling, we were looking for a cold beer, a glass of chardonnay and a view and the Courthouse Hotel didn’t disappoint. It’s the oldest pub in Port Douglas and we loved the character and vibe, and family friendliness!. We went upstairs to the balcony which offers nice views out over the park and when it’s not overcast we were told it’s a top spot for sunset."

"In the southeast corner of Daintree National Park, 5km west of Mossman town, Mossman Gorge forms part of the traditional lands of the Kuku Yalanji people. The gorge is a boulder-strewn valley where sparkling water washes over ancient rocks. It's 3km by road from the visitor centre to a viewpoint and refreshing swimming hole – take care as the currents can be swift. You can walk the 4km but visitors are encouraged to take the shuttle (adult/child/family return $9.80/4.85/24.20, every 15 minutes)."
